【Shrimp and asparagus stir fry in garlic and fermented black bean sauce】

This is an easy, quick and delicious dish that you can cook at home. Serve with some steamed rice, your family will love it.

Prepare time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Level: Low
Serves: 4 servings
Ingredients:
1) 20 frozen medium size white shrimp, 1/3 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp finely ground white pepper, 1 tsp corn starch, 1/3 tsp sesame oil;
2) 1 roll asparagus (480g);
3) 2 tbsp Avocado oil or other cooking oil, 1.5 tbsp fresh minced garlic, 1 tbsp Fermented black beans;
4) 1.5 tbsp oyster sauce;
5) ½ tsp sesame oil.
Directions:
1: Soak frozen shrimps in cold water to defrost. Peel and devein the shrimp, rinse under cold water and drain well. Place shrimps in a bowl, add the rest ingredients in Ingredient 1 (Picture 1), mix well and set aside for 10 minutes. Remove roots of asparagus, rinse and cut each into 1 inch long pieces (Picture 2). Mince fermented black beans and set aside (Picture 3).
2: Heat 1 tbsp Avocado oil in a non-stick sauté pan over medium-high heat. Sauté shrimp for 1-2 minutes until shrimp (Picture 4) just cooked. Remove from the pan (Picture 5) and set aside.

3: Add 1 tbsp oil in the same pan, medium heat, and sauté minced garlic and fermented black beans for 30 seconds (Picture 6). Add the asparagus, sauté for 1-2 minutes (Picture 7). Add 1 tbsp cold water and continue stir and cook for 1 minute.
4: Add 1.5 tbsp oyster sauce and previously cooked shrimps, stir and cook for 30 seconds. Add ½ tsp sesame oil, mix well. Serve with some steamed rice warm.





Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
