【Braised Tofu and Fava Beans】
by MaomaoMom
I love this braised tofu dish because I love fava beans even since I was a kid. Fava beans bring bright color and unique texture to this dish.

Prepare time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Level: Easy
Serves: 6 servings
Ingredients:
1) 1 package tofu 700g;
2) 350g shelled fava beans;
3) 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp freshly minced garlic, 1.5 tbsp freshly chopped green onion, 2 tsp freshly minced ginger;
4) 1 tbsp cooking wine, 1/2 tsp salt, 2tbsp light soy sauce, 1.5 tbsp dark soy sauce, ¼ tsp chicken broth mix, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp water;
5) 1 tsp sesame oil.
Directions:
1: Cut each tofu block horizontally into three equal portions, then cut diagonally into triangles. Heat 1.5 tbsp olive oil in a non-stick sauté pan over high heat. Arrange tofu triangles in the pan (Picture 1), and cook until golden brown on both sides (Picture 2). Remove from heat and set aside.
2: Heat 0.5 tbsp oil in the same pan over high heat. Sauté minced garlic, chopped green onion and minced ginger for 30 seconds (Picture 3). Add shelled fava beans, stir and cook for a minute (Picture 4).

3: Arrange cooked tofu in the sauté pan (Picture 5). Add all ingredients of Ingredient 4) (Picture 6), and cook for a few minutes until sauce thickens and fava beans are soft.
4: Stir in 1 tsp sesame oil then transfer to a serving plate. Serve with steamed rice.

I am so happy to read this. This is the type of manual that needs to be given and not the random misinformation that’s at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.
Heya i am for the first time here. I found this board and I find It really useful & it helped me out a lot. I hope to give something back and help others like you helped me.
Hi there! This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading through this post reminds me of my previous room mate! He always kept talking about this. I will forward this article to him. Pretty sure he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing!
Throughout the grand pattern of things you’ll receive an A+ just for effort. Exactly where you actually confused everybody was first in the facts. As people say, the devil is in the details… And that couldn’t be more true in this article. Having said that, allow me inform you just what exactly did work. Your article (parts of it) is certainly really engaging and this is possibly why I am making an effort to opine. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, whilst I can certainly notice the leaps in reasoning you come up with, I am not really certain of exactly how you seem to unite the ideas that produce the final result. For now I will, no doubt yield to your point but trust in the future you link the dots better.
