【Pork back ribs in Marple syrup sauce】

If you have a bottle of maple syrup handy, you can make this delicious pork rib dish.
Cook time: 90 minutes
Level: low
Serves: 8 servings
Ingredients:
1) 1300g baby back ribs;
2) ¼ cup dried black fungus;
3) 1 tbspavocado oil or other cooking oil, 1 green onion root removed, washed and chopped into 1 in pieces, 5 g ginger sliced;
4) 1 tsp balsamic vinegar, 1.5 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tbsp premium soy sauce, 2 tbsp light soy sauce,1/4 tsp salt, 2 cups water;
5) 1/2 tsp sesame oil.
Directions:
1: Soak dried black fungus in cold water for 1-2 hours. Rinse under cold water then drain, set aside. Remove membrane from the back of the ribs, wash and cut into small pieces.
2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a non-stick pot over medium-high heat, sauté chopped green onion, sliced ginger and pork ribs (Picture 1) for 3-4 minutes until all water evaporates (Picture 2).
3: Add all ingredients of Ingredient 4) (Picture 3), cover with the lid and bring to boil. Reduce to medium-small heat, simmer for 30 minutes. Add black fungus (Picture 4) continue cook for another 50 minutes.
4: Increase to medium-high heat to reduce the sauce until thick and add ½ tsp sesame oil, mix well. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with some steamed rice.
