【Pan fried and braised potatoes 】

This is an easy but so delicious dish to make, I bet your family would love it too as we do.

Prepare time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Level: Low
Serves: 4 servings
Ingredients:
1) 4 medium size potatoes (640g);
2) 2 tbsp olive oil;
3) 2 tbsp freshly chopped green onion, 2-3 slices fresh ginger, 1 anise star, 2 cloves;
4) 1 tbsp premium soy sauce, 1tbsp light soy sauce, 1tbsp dark soy sauce, 1/6 tsp chicken broth mix , ½ tsp sugar;
5) ½ tsp sesame oil.
Directions:
1: Peel off potato skin, rinse and pat dry with a paper towel. (You can leave the skin on if you prefer). Cut each potato in 3 equal portions lengthwise (Picture 1) then cut into 3-4 equal-size cubes (Picture 2).
2: In a non-stick sauté pan, add 2 tbsp olive oil and potato cubes (Picture 3) and cook on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes until the side turns golden brown. Turn over cook for 3-4 minutes again for each side (Picture 4).
3: Add chopped green onion, sliced ginger, anise star and cloves, stir gentlely and cook for a minute (Picture 5).

4: Add premium soy sauce, light and dark soy sauce, sugar and chicken broth mix (Picture 68), stir to mix and cook until water evaporates.
5: Add sesame oil , gentle stir to mix, transfer potatoes to a serving plate before serving.
