【Garlic Cheese Breadsticks】

An easy recipe to make soft and delicious breadsticks, you have to try it.

Prepare time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Stand time: 2 hours

Serves: 6 servings
Ingredients:
Dough:
1) 1 cup minus 1 tbsp water (220g), 1/2 tsp sugar, 3/4 tsp salt;
2) 2 cups unsifted all purpose flour (320g), 1.5 tsp fast rising yeast;
3) 1.5 tbsp olive oil;
Topping:
4) 1 tbsp freshly minced garlic, 1.5 tbsp olive oil;
5) 3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese;
6) ½ cup grated 2-year old cheddar cheese;
7)1/3 tsp ground black pepper.
Directions:
1: Place all ingredients of Ingredient 1) in the bread machine , then add all ingredients of Ingredient 2) (Picture 1). Select “dough” and start the program. When the stirring begins, open the lid and quickly add 1.5 tbsp oil (Picture 2). Close the lid and let the program continue until finish. The entire process takes about 2 hours.
2: Place all ingredients of Ingredient 4) in a small bowl and mix (Picture 4). When the dough doubles in volume (Picture 3), remove from the bread machine. On a floured surface, shape the dough to a log. Press down and roll out to a 0.8 cm thick rectangle (Picture 5).

3: Cut into 12 equal stripes and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet (Picture 6) and let stand for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 500F and place a pizza stone inside. If you don’t have one, use a baking sheet upside down.
4: Drizzle garlic and olive oil mixture over the breadsticks (Picture 7). Then sprinkle grated parmesan cheese (Picture 8) and grated cheddar cheese evenly (Picture 9). Finally sprinkle 1/3 tsp ground black pepper on top.

5: When oven reaches the desired temperature, transfer the breadsticks with parchment paper on to the baking sheet (surface is very hot, please wear mittens ) and bake for 8-10 minutes until the top turns golden (Picture 10).

Tips:
Microwave leftover breadsticks for 15-25 seconds then toast.
